Welcome to my Butterfly Image Gallery

Hopefully these images will compliment my favourite photographic subject matter of dragonflies and damselflies. Whilst in the field I often encounter butterflies and not being one to refuse an opportunity I have amassed this collection of these colourful insects. These images have been taken in and around Hampshire using a Canon EOS 40D Digital SLR and Canon 100mm USM macro lens. All images were taken in hand held made without the aid of any camera support.
